The SAP Netweaver is a dual stack successor of SAP R/3 Basis. It has two worlds. One that runs in a java environment and the other world runs in an abap environment. SAP is a real-time transactional and analytical system. It is based on a client-server technology that uses a relational database system such as Oracle (which is the most common database), IBM-DB2, SAP DB, MSSQL and others. The transactions and analysis are performed by the SAP binaries called the kernel, the database is used to store the data. ABAP/4 and java are the two main programming tools of SAP. SAP is customizable and can be modified to fit a certain specific information technology scenario.Below all these layers, an operating system such as Linux/Solaris/IBM-AIX/HP-UX or Windows hosts this whole functionality. SAP is used in general by large enterprises and medium-sized firms.
