Physical appearance and charisma does contribute a lot in sales but knowledge is of primary importance.

Of course, the seller, whose face adorns his beautiful smile and charisma certainly will leave a memorable impression on the customer rather than a seller with a scowling face and reluctant behavior.

Well, Sex in advertising or "sex sells" and sadly it is true. Sales is both an art and science. Definitely,  physical appearance and charisma can be a plus in having an effect on the selling process.

Sure it does especially when the person is the person is having a pursuasive attitude with an elegant apperance and a strong technical background to market his product
