If you fire an employee for some reason, you will lose a potentially competent employee and regret your decision. Do not rush to make the wrong decision. First, study the case, then give him a chance and find an excuse for him. He will come to you, one day, apologizing for what happened. The hasty dismissal decision has consequences for the institution and its impact on the rest of the colleagues, even if this person is not wanted among them. So be careful not to rush to make your own decision, but involve others with you so that everyone's decision is made, and then you will never regret it.
