Actually, google helps sometimes with technical terms, abbreviations, and certain idioms. Google really helps more with getting multiple meaning for each vocabulary. So, this surly helps translator to select the best of best and get translation more accurate!

Google translate is not trustful in translating a text( because you need to work a lot on that translation), but you can use it in translating words just.

You know when a word keeps evading you, lurking in the back of your mind, but you can't quite catch it;? That's when you use Google Translate! Google Translate should be considered a translation aid (much like a dictionary) and not depended on completely. Sentences coming out of Google Translate sound weird more often than not and need to be edited using the suggest an edit feature, in order to make sense. In my humble opinion, Google Translate needs a lot of help from us translators to become a dependable translation tool.

Google translate is only helpful when you need to get the meaning of a certain word, sometimes even for phrases, but I do not count on it in translation. Every text has its own soul and Google translate cannot conceive the spirit of that text. Most of the effort is done by the translator and his/her common sense of text, plus of course the googling or searching through different dictionaries or resources for the meanings of different terminology and technical terms or phrases.

I believe Google! Translate can help much in translation. It provides a good draft to be refined by the translator to make his final copy. For me Google! is really helpful, and I do participate in making it even better - by suggesting better translations.

I believe google translate is helpful to some extent, it provides meaning of different dictionaries and resources, but  you can not rely on it completely, because it may provide word for word translation which leads to bad result and not sound natural, and when it comes to judge translation quality this based on how natural and fluent it sounds in the target language, so the great effort is the translator' role who depends on the tone and sense of text, cultures, slang in conveying the meaning, and this is why we say the human translator is essential and inevitable to ensure accuracy and quality.

Well,

You are only required to correct the context since machine translating is yet to achieve the human level of gesturing the context and concluding the accurate context from many.

For machine, it will give the most used context and stack it up and it wok sometimes, but not all the time.

So, yeah, it is best to translate it sentence by sentence and proof-reading it each time instead of paragraph by paragraph.

Machine is amazing at word translating because it gives you the list of all saved usages in its date and what it shows you is the most common one.

You still need to add your skill with google to come out with the best work possible.

Friend note: Try not to rely all the time on machinery, so that your memory doesn't turn-off!

Sorry for taking too long.

I use google translate to compare with other translations but I don't rely on it. That being said, I give some credit to google translation because there is always something we can get from it especially  when it come to technical words. I think we can use google translation however, we are the only judges on how good it is
