The solution for this sort of situation lies firstly in  understanding the customers problem or complaint correctly.   The answer doesen´t always have to satisfy the client but it most certainly has to be fair.  There are always certain guides to deal this sort of problems in  companies that from day to day interact with customers and sticking to the approved techniques or standards  should firstly let  you avoid  difficult situations and secondly help to solve them a little more easier.
