Why do customer service representatives regularly claim their systems are slow?

Ofcourse it definitely means either the customer rep is unaware of your current issue and taking time to understand the nature of your problem. Or it is just a hidden excuse to buy time and get your issue resolve if he or she can.  

 

It definitely shows unprofessionalism of customer service representative.

1.the systems are often massive databases that do take some time to update.

2.it is the easiest excuse to save on dead air.
