Do you view you current employment as: just a job, a career path or a passion?

Some individuals love their jobs, others see their jobs as stepping stones to gain experience their ultimate job and others feel trapped in it as it is a means of income and were maybe forced to go out and work due to insufficient funds to study further. Some lose heart and don't pursue further studies when they can do so.

Let us not forget....a job is a livelihood for us to start with.

We need to relate this with motivational needs of a person. As we move from basic needs, we move towards, security needs, then social needs, Self esteem and Self realization.

Levels in job as we grow, Education-Exposure-Experience we gain, prepares us for towards next level of motivation in the hierarchy. Career path is a upliftment of every human towards self-realization....we may call this a career ambition.

Love for a job - Something i dont understand. Passion is something which matters in our profession. But, passion depedns on whether the job correspond to personal strengths of every person. If we are strong in certain areas (let me say I am analytical), but I work as carpenter, cant bring out passion in me or anybody towards their job.

Passionate job is what we should be aiming in our carrer aspiration...

It is a hard job in the sense of treat with diferent styles of direction and culture, but I love this job. One customer, one project this is my lema. Regards

Well as some who has been in very very difficult situations just because of miss leadership or misunderstanding or even abused in the current company, yet I look at what i do like a passion because i have been creating, developing and enhancing a huge, strong and really reliable Quality control and assurance system from Zero to the most important department of the company so yeah I love it with all bad angels of it!

It depends on how the individual perceives. Everybody in their teens when finishing their degree's expect to conquer the world and become the CEO of a big company. They come with lot of passion ,energy and enthusiasm. However the reality is very different. Either you achieve20 % of what u dream . Reasons could be varied like losing Focus, Social life , Company and work culture, personal life impact, Bosses,  Teams etc. you could list a million. Today's competitive world requires you to be up for challenges and continous learning throughout your career.

We need to survive in this world, hence you need money . So for most people its a job , passion depends on the individual , his focus, the company culture and individuals learning and development. I believe the day you lose focus , it just remains a job , rather than a career path.
