I want to learn about digital marketing and doing digital marketing course, I want to know before landing a job, how can i gain experience so it shows up in my work experience.
Digital marketing is the step ahead of the indoor/outdoor or the transformed version we can say.

I could have mentioned sales and marketing above but I believe that Marketing is the backbone of any business so the above teams will strongly facilitate the backbone where the outcome will be dynamic.
As Mr.Shakoor had answered good books are available and digital media is easy to learn and its not rocket science, but to add on to that "Digital media is all about creating a web and sustaining and expanding once the web has a strong center and a quality center so will be the whole web".

It is difficult to gain real experience without working on real projects. Academic knowledge has limited scope. However, organisation only recruit people with experience or those who lie about their experience.

Digital Marketing is easy to learn. There are books and articles available online for beginner to get knowledge and learn Digital Marketing. Please Google those keywords like Digital Marketing for beginner or something like this.
Regarding getting experience you will have to build your own website t& Social Media accounts o try the techniques you have learned from different sources.

You can Joining one of the company or freelance to have digital marketing experience. for the knowledge you can have books, articles or courses available online for beginner.
By the same way you can gain experience in anything.
Experience is the knowledge or mastery of an event or subject gained through involvement in or exposure to it. So you have to work for it and dedicate time and efforts.
It is here I differ with the above answers, all the resources in the world can on can just give you knowledge but not experience. So go out and really implement what you learn from what the online community has to offer, then only you'll gain experience.
