Trust yourself and be confident. Face the mirror and try to deliver a speech as if you are talking to someone. Practice speaking in front of your family or friends and ask them how you can improve. As to developing effective communication skills, attend seminars and workshops to hone this skill.

First of all, look at any one you want to interact with aa a human just like you, they arent linons or etc, when u see them as human just like yourself that fear will disapper, it works for me, the worst thing another human being will do to me,when i try to talk to them or so is say NO and walk away. so fear for mean got no defination apart from the fact that you allow it.. And you by yourself can control it.

I would advice uyou make friends easily and always smile,by doing these you give others the ability to be able to feel comfotable with you and you will get comfotable too.what you say to people with yours eyes or your body language is just as powerful as what you say with words anyways...

maintain eye contacts when talking to other people.

smile alittle

speak as slow as you can for a better undertanding.

Lastly , see any or every other

peron as a human being they wont bite or kill you for speaking.

All the best....

There are several ways for one to overcome any fear or affliction that may affect them. The best way (the majority of the time), is to face your fear/s head-on. Public speaking and anxiety go hand-in-hand my friend, the image of articulating your thoughts and views to dozens, nay, hundreds of eyes blankly staring back at you can cause one to steer far away from any occasion that demands those efforts.

As you can probably tell by now, I like many others suffered from the same apprehension. Now that you know you are not alone in this here are some helpful tips that can help you and others overcome the fear of public speaking;

1. Write a story/poem/song/extract/etc and perform it in front of your nearest and dearest. Gain confidence by having the spotlight solely placed on you to showcase your art in front of those you speak with every day.

2. Breathe - May seem simple enough, however, the importance of breathing before and after a demanding task is pivotal to your success. Breathing techniques help to calm you down and relax your mind which would usually conjure up thoughts at 1000mph. Breathe deeply and know you got this.

Remember; Deep breaths, Successful steps

3. Watch others and learn - President Obama, Denzel Washington, Oprah Winfrey, Afua Hirsch, anyone that has held the stage and delivered a piece at a 'TED Talks', watch and learn from them. Observe their mannerisms, how they speak, the time they take with sentences, their body language (very important), how they can captivate an entire hall filled with hundreds in attendance and still be calmness personified.

None of these steps to success is one of ease, they all come at a price, which in this case is inevitably speaking to a large group of people. Just know this, your voice is powerful, your voice has intelligence and wisdom that can transcend through the ages, it has to be developed.

In closing, Miss Salam Assi, yours is a voice that the world needs to hear, so train, train and deliver my friend.

I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours.

Kind regards,

Mr Tashan Bready-Preston

First, think if you don't speak out who will for you?

no one will it's your job to get yourself to places and things you want and need, some people might not give you the answer you are eager to hear but that's life we get what we fight for by talking its something my mother always said.

communication skills come with practice try talking to a friend or family members more often most of all ask questions it helps with starting a conversation.

or take communication courses although I believe its something that's not needed but go for it everyone different.
