"if an advertisement looks good, prime focus doesn't matter. it assumes brand/product recollection." many marketeer perceive this .do you agree?

An advertisement (digital, print, outdoor or electronic or any other form) is made that doesn't relate and is not in sync to the product or brand, yet is highly attractive, appealing and great looking. Do you think such an ad could create a good impact on its audiences? would such an ad create a good product / brand recollection?

such ad would definitely be a great promotion tool... Of Thad aye cy who produces it! Creative ads must be RELEVANT to tag product and target audience, otherwise it is just a self promo tools of the agency  that would register it for some awards. In any case, testingcanddfcused groups are key elemnts to determine he'd effectiveness of an ad.

An Advertisement Can Look Good But Doesn't Necessarily Create That Lasting Impression Of The Product/Brand On The Mind Of The Consumer Which Is The Primary Intention.

Famous ad man David Ogilvy once said , "I do not regard advertising as entertainment or an art form, but as a medium of information." Whatever else advertising is trying to do, whether with words or pictures, its purpose always is to impart information. The information isn't always about a product or service, though. Advertising serves everything from politics to social consciousness to get across a message.

There is a puropose behind this ad for sure .

A good ad without sufficient brand linkage would just drive awareness and recall for the category and possibly even competition if the ad is associated by consumers wrongfully with other competing brands. So branding is equaly and possibly even more important than just a good creative.

The message matters more than the look... the General Public are exposed to thousands of advertisment per day, the best way, the goal is for them to remember your product or service. The Beuaty of the Add may strike people for few days but they won't remember the Brand and its product, the most important is to deliver the message in an efficient way!

Hi..

There are end numerous ways you can advertise your products to your Target Audience or Mass Population, but whats more appealing when you sit in consumer (Either potential/current) shoes & than design the Ad. (Most people will be fed up with the same trend of Ad's) which are usually different from other's with humor, or Innovative still deliver the message intended to in a strong & effective way.

It may or may not fit in the relevent list but 'Message' would either be direct or indirect. The main motive is 'Customer's recall' or 'Brand Recognition'. The ideal situation is having an 'Lasting effect on consumers mind' either a customer can relate to or has a lasting effect & thus can be a 'Potential customer' or spread the same unintentionally with his family & friends through the power of 'Word of Mouth' which are achieved by Innovative marketing tools with message, intent & humor.

For Example: Different Stunts in Ad's of Mountain Dew : Shows Indirect Effect but all do have an effect on consumer's mind by co-relating either by real or imaginative of the personality of 'Brand' to the consumer.

Other Best examples would be Vodafone Zoo Zoo, do you remember it?? :-) ... Though there are10's of stunt's when ever you think of Zoo Zoo you automatically think of 'Vodafone'. This is because it was the most Innovative, unexpected 'Idea' co-relating the different day-to-day smaller deals you can perform using the application & also the way it is mentioned does have an lasting effect & though do not maintain actual , still 'Message' is delivered to the 'Target Audience'.

Other Last example could be of Ad's Shown of CEAT Tyres -- Though Ad would usually be different (Episodes per channel/Per Day) shows traffic, Man driving bike & having narrow escapes coliding with road bypassers or others. What's the message you think??... But the way it is shown is usually what most of us go thorugh in day to day actvity & has shown the grip of the 'tyre' though of a common activity in an effective manner which will have 'Lasting Effect' on consumers mind.
