Is it possible to implement an extremely customer focused strategy but still maintain low costs?

It is very much possible and should be done by focusing on consumer demand and product which offers the service to consumer/customer. If product fulfills customer centric/ basic requirements, strategy should be designed in such a way to cater vast number of customer at low cost by providing the best services to create a competition so that competitor too would require to lower their service charges. And as service still costs little amount of money instead of serving free of cost its anytime a win win situation.

Depending on the size of the organisation,  it is possible to provide a customer focused product at a low cost (so long this aligns with the strategic direction of the organisation) by implementing following techiques:

1. Apply lean six sigma techinques / principles to optmise productivity 

2. Outsource non-value adding functions

3. invest in staff development and traning to empower staff and optimise their productivity / reduce errors 

4. Achieve a preffered suppliers type of deals / schemes where you can minimise cost of supply through repeat business rewards

5. Use synergy amongst functions to minimise redundancy of resources 

6. Analyse metadata about your customers to ensure that you constantly cater for their needs

It is possible but depends on customer demands. So maintain to low costs as customer focused strategy needs products data, market competitors and market value of product. 

yes it is possible first of all recognize the need the customer then customize product by all taking similiar data as many themeslf

Of course it is possible. It is all about identifying the customer issues, needs, develop the right product and service and ensure that the IT resources and the products align with themselves and the strategy.

Yes ofcourse. It solely depends on the expertise of the the person who develops the strategy. If the strategies are not customer focused then the whole efforts goes in vain. Need to have a proper budgeting in advance.
