Why do you think marketeers use jingles/songs in their advertisements very frequently?

A lot of advertisements, especially in the arab world, have songs included in them or jingles about the product that is being advertised. This has become used so frequently that almost every traditional advertisement has a song or a jingle.

Why do you think this technique is used?

The main reasons for adverts are to catch the attention of viewers by creating awareness, persuading them to buy or like the idea or product & ultimately "positioning"( installing the product into the minds of the viewers or potential consumers. Therefore the company has to package the message in the most deemed effective & attractive way possible to achieve the goal (reasons for the advert) thus songs could be a good packaging or suppliment for such message potrayed in an advert. An appropriate way to attract consumers

Where the consumer is likely influenced by the sound and the picture in the first place

To create top of mind awareness. You always want your song or your jingle to be what sticks in a consumer's head when they are contemplating a purchase.

That is because built-in familiarity and emotional connection, and transferring the feelings and emotions of the song to the brand. Also because audio can drive consumer recall.“[A jingle is] a uniquely identifiable audio clip that works much in the same way as a brand’s tag line or even a brand’s logo,” said Matt Lee, director of marketing at brand development and inbound marketing agency Adhere Creative

Marketing is word not only meant for sale it also you should recognised with the people marketing is a MUST. However, to sell any products whether its a big or small the end of the day it has to be sold. To give awareness to the product and the company business people adopt various kinds of marketing. For a product to bring into the market we have to apply different kinds of strategies . Like television , brochures, malls, and some times big banners of the product to introduce and sell the product. Some people do marketing with the sample of the products as well. Therefore I conclude for marketing is a must to sell the products.

Besides being catchy; jingles/songs are the only way to flavour commercial where imagery is not available. Remember Radio ? :)

This is done in order to ensure top-of-mind-brand-recall. If the imagery, sequence of video or the dialogue is not enough, the marketers ensure they use jingles which appeal to the hearing senses of customers to get them to remember the product and invest in it.

The right song or musical soundtrack to an ad can increase attention, enhance emotional response, influence intention to buy, and demonstrably increase sales.

The use of jingles in advertisements helps in product recall and thus has positive on sales.

Because the use of more stimuli was greater impact, visual propaganda accompanied by a song or anthem keep in mind the most because they consult the senses more than one sense.
