Thank you for the invite If you are unable to convey your ideas or train of thought clearly to a potential investor then you are dead even before you start. I have come across many intelligent people who have brilliant ideas yet are unable to explain it in simple layman language. They tend to get carried away and forget the basic fact. Simplicity. Your investor might not be as educated or well read as you. Entrepreneur must have a charisma that pulls people towards them. Secondly they should have a good grasp of the current economy. The sales profit margin must be higher at any given point of time. Otherwise it doesnot make much of a sense to invest more in your establishment. You will be adding more to your inventory and asstes become obsolete.

Almighty has bestowed miraculous gift of ‘Speaking’ to Human Mankind. In order to succeed in life and business market, following skills comes to my mind.

1.       Listening – Ability to listen more than you speak, understand and Practice.

2.       Grammar – Using correct form of Language.

3.       Vocabulary – Using right form of Vocab.

4.       Conversation – Involving yourself into conversation is right than being perceived as only a speaker.

5.       Reading – Lots of reading helps you to improvise upon your ability to hold a conversation.

6.       Writing – Helps to a great extent especially for your forthcoming business meeting, or discussion.

7.       Simplicity – Use simple, effective, smart words while speaking that leaves a positive impression.

8.       Attentive – Pay attention to others when they ask question or speak.

9.       Tone – Use mild tone. Sounds more like forgiving.

10.    Confidence – Consider yourself the best.

It also depends who your audience is?

Having discussion with shop floor skilled force is different than having discussion with Vice President of the same Company. You use simple language, ample practical success stories, demonstrations, listen more to the skilled force while as you have to conduct yourself as Presentable to President of the Company with Presentation, grammatically correct language, right vocab, demanding, absolute attention and all of it.

The measurement of all of this would be they speak in same form as you would or understand.

Well i don't know about speaking skills regarding entrepreneurship, but of course speaking skills is the backbone of business. One maybe a very good speaker but in terms of bushiness the much bigger challenge than speaking i assume is honesty.

I feel, personally that an entrepreneur in this day and time need's a multitude of speaking skills. They need to be able to express themselves in a way that grabs the masses attention. I'm talking about, enthusiasm, pride, confidence, and determination! They need to be willing to at the same time, be ready to answer any and all questions, with little to no error in their words. As my grade school teacher would tell me, "Open your mouth!". Make sure your tone and the words that leave your lips are heard, strong and with full clarity.
