Simply , you can do two things regularly

• Practice your skills daily inside your work.
• Test your skills even you are out of your work.

What I need to say , leadership skills , are inborn skills (Exclusive For Leaders) so when we need to developing it that mean we need to practicing it and testing it regularly . by using it and Read, Learn , Watch something related to leadership.

In general when we need to develop any kind of skill we need to test and check results ..then improve it or correct the action.

To improve leadership skill you need to improve your emotional intelligence and human factors which are described briefly below: 

1.  Courage to conquer failure: Success is moving from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm

2.  Patience and perseverance: Do no give up quickly- patience and perseverance pay in the long run

3.  To be in flow-Ecstasy in performance

4.  Empathetic resonance: To handle yourself use your brain, to handle others use your heart

5.  Charity and “do good” factor: If you help others, it gives you tremendous satisfaction, strength and high self-esteem

6.Hope and optimism: If hope is about floating on water, optimism is about swimming

7.Taking criticism positively: Listen to others who work closely with you on daily basis 

8.Humor:  It can do wonders to a person, to a relationship and to environment. A smile is inexpensive way to improve your look

Some of leadership skills come from personal character and he can Improve by learning & get more Experience because it give more self confidence and you should aware about head lines of your team work . don't mention the very small details you should concentrate on the conclusion and the target

If you are so lucky by reporting to an effective leader. Nothing equals this. Everybody is easily influenced by his or her immediate boss either positively or negatively.

It is all depend on the type of the boss you come across. That's why I emphasised on EFFECTIVE LEADER. No business school can create impact as created by our boss.
