in my opinion codeigniter  is best for starting point. because of its lightweight , simple and well documented.

I recommend CODEIGNITER!  Light-weight, Easy to setup and Easy to learn!

There are many types of frame works like, Worpdress, Drupal, Joomla, Magento, Moodle and many more..

 

All the frame works have a own advantages Wordpress, Drupal and Joomla are using for CMS and Magento is specially use for making a  E-Commerce portal. Moodle is a use for Learning Management System..

 

Now you have to decide which types you want to use frameworks..

 Framework is an adaptable architecture which's concerning to enhance and separate the differents code's parting. So for me is great step to discover Symfony 2 to well know and full see the architecture.
