Generally it means same  But  in business, the two  are  applied separately based on the types trade.. Customers are generally people who come to you mainly to buy products or services you supply. Clients buy your advice and solutions personalized to their particular needs.

Customer is a person or organization that buys something from a shop or business.

Client is a person who uses the services of a professional person or organization.
