We can't  negate the global status of English language for communication. Learning English language is always fruitful in this modern world; no matter it's academic, technical, office or business level.

Everyone can take benefit of it in accordance to one's level of English language skill. Teaching is not the only option. There are many more sectors which prefer the persons with English language skills including management, interpretation,  translators, etc.

Actually it is a very interesting question. The English Language is internationally aknowledged as the number one language used in many fields such as economics, technology, politics, medicine, teaching. Therefore, according to vacancies an English major could work not only as a teacher but also in the above mentioned fields.
