What is your opinion as hr professional in new certificate by SHRM CP - SCP and its impact to your career VS HRBP By HRCI ?

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing my friend Steve Browne speak this morning at SHRM. His session was intended to fire up the audience, and I’d say it was a smashing success. One of his comments was powerful, and I thought it deserved to be repeated here because I talk about certification quite a bit. If your certification is purely about getting recertification hours, having letters after your name, and trying to use that as a way to get credits, then you’re wasting your time and your organization’s time. Go ahead and leave. Or let it lapse. There’s no real value in that sort of attitude. However, if you pursued certification as a way to make yourself better at delivering HR services for your employees, then you’re on the right track. If you prepared for months, studied endless hours to pass an incredibly difficult exam, and sat there with sweaty palms as you waited for the pass/fail notification at the end just so you could use something you learned to make your workplace better, you did it for the right reasons. If your certification is less about making yourself look good and more about how you can make your organization look good for candidates and employees, then you understand the true value of the certification process. Whether you’re carrying around a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRBP, or some other type of credential, remember the end goal. The test is not the goal. Studying is not the objective. Using what you learn to make your organization better is. How has your certification helped you? What additional impact did you have on your organization once you picked up those almighty letters behind your name? When people previously asked me how to study for the SPHR exam, I’ve had to give them my opinion based on what I understood. To be honest, my response was pretty accurate, but it’s now nice to actually confirm that with my own completion of the SPHR certification. Thank you for inviting me to answer your question about new certificate ( CP & SCP ) That is awarded by (SHRM) vs. certificate ( HRBP ) That is awarded by (HRCI ) and its impact on the human resources professional.

 

My opinion is that the ( HRBP ) certificate awarded by (HRCI ) is stronger and certified globally more than that's awarded by SHRM. 

Let's show up some points :

 

( SHRM-CP ) :

CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL BY SOCIETY OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT:

HR professionals who implement policies and strategies, serve as point of contact for staff and stakeholders, deliver HR services, and perform operational HR functions.

 

( SHRM-SCP ) :  

SENIOR CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL BY SOCIETY OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT:

HR professionals who develop strategies, lead the HR function, foster influence in the community, analyze performance metrics, and align HR strategies to organizational goals.

 

( HRCI -HRBP ) : 

HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL BY HUMAN RESOURCES CERTIFICATION:

The Human Resource Business Professional (HRBP) is a global, competency-based credential that is designed to validate professional-level core HR knowledge and skills. The credential demonstrates mastery of generally accepted technical and operational HR principles. Independent of geographic region, the credential complements local HR practices. Through demonstrated knowledge, the credential enhances the credibility of HR professionals and the organizations they serve.

Mrs. Bassam & Khaled had enough details about that. However any earned certificate in HR should have in somehow but not in everything. Certificates may help in clarifying rules and policies (or new standards), but the main competency will be based on your practical efforts !

Any role in SHRM considered good in human resources, but you must know this topic course content and results that are beneficial to the organization but there are many courses at the same level, but ultimately the process of applying that session and the results of which the company aspires.
