To what degree should a leader reinforce openness with team members that gives them opportunity to be forthcoming with ideas, remarks and opinions?

During meetings....Once they see you have an open mind and you can think outside the box....they will follow along right with you.. Remember you lead by example.

There needs to be clear parameters identified and understood upfront. The strategic intent must be front of mind and therefore any opinions need to be supportive of that intent. Diversity needs to be celebrated through the platform of allowing the free expression of thought

A team leader needs to be part of the team and active, with the day to day running of the tasks to be, to be able to get open door policy, you too need to be assertive and open to the subordinates

I think,only participative leadership style can reinforce the openness with team members. Participative leadership can increase the moral of employees because leaders give a space and opportunity to their employees as if they make a contribution in decision making process. It also motivates employees attitude towards company.They think company needs them and treat the company as their own business which can boost productivity.

a leader should be friendly and most importantly he/she should be taking the initiative to come up with ideas.

To the point that the leader verifies that every single individual has been listened, showing respect and caring for all ideas, remarks and opinions.

This will build a trustable environment, and in that point, the leader can have a strong "tribe".

Listening is a leader´s skill and a gift to the employee!!!
