During meetings....Once they see you have an open mind and you can think outside the box....they will follow along right with you.. Remember you lead by example.

A team leader needs to be part of the team and active, with the day to day running of the tasks to be, to be able to get open door policy, you too need to be assertive and open to the subordinates

I think,only participative leadership style can reinforce the openness with team members. Participative leadership can increase the moral of employees because leaders give a space and opportunity to their employees as if they make a contribution in decision making process. It also motivates employees attitude towards company.They think company needs them and treat the company as their own business which can boost productivity.
