You should use the Schedule performance index to clarify the value gained (earned) so far:
EV (Earned Value; value equivalent to what actually gained) =3 days
PV (Planned Value;value that should be gained ) =5 days
SPI (Schedule Performance Index; Percentage completed measured to what was planned)
=3/5=0.6 or60% of the planned quanitities
