Most women are leaders whether in developing or developed economies. Few of them realize the potential, few dont. Those that do, put good use of it in a commercial platform and some use them in the domestic world.

A women leads the family by example, a female manager sets new heights and women in leadership creates pathway for others to follow.

Empowerment is key for any type of leader (man or women), the emphasis is more in a developing economy because of lack of structured governance and processes.

Empowerment can be achieved by encouragement, resources, knowledge share, exposure and various other modes. Giving them the confidence and reassuring "its ok to fail, if you want to succeed - failures are the stepping stone for ones success" can help a long way.
