I believe the answer depends on an individual's personality and the amount of risks s/he is willing to take.
Some are content with being an employee or an intrapreneur.
But some have the desire to take a risk and start their own business or invest.
The rewards are exponential and so are the risks associated with each choice.

I believe everyone gets a chance to become all these four at different stages in life.
It just depends who grabs what.
Entrepreneur in himself is an investor and an intrapreneur.
New ventures often get no investment from outside, moreover a wealthy entrepreneur avoids selling too many shares at its infancy stage.
Investors can succeed if they have performed good in business (entrepreneurship skills) or have been a good employee.
Employees who get opportunities to show their entrepreneurship skills become intrapreneurs.
Intrapreneurs, at some stage of life think out of the box and move ahead to start their own venture and become Entrepreneur.
In short, it's a circle and answering one or the other is impractical unless individual's situation is studied thoroughly.

Surely, it depends on personality and interest of an individual. If you have resource, want to take risk and strong wiliingness to lead society, your choice will be to become entrepreneur. But if you want to consider the economic benefit only, then you want to be investor. If no, your choice will be to be an employee. Its choice of an individual but it is determined by other factors.

All are best in their positions.
Each position has it's on requirements and needs to fulfill.
If one has the requirements to fulfill for a given job and the need for that job, then that job is the best for him/her and will remain the same as long as it is giving satisfaction. Each job has it's own value and contribution to make.
Therefor any job that satisfies an individual on that front will be considered the best for him/her at that given time.

I prefer Intrapreneur because they can quickly identify also and win points which create visibility in the organisation and allows the team to gather confidence.
These quick wins allow you to get more talent into your fold.
Intrapreneurs is a natural sort of way which translates into growth and benefits for them inevitably.

This answer can be answered only by the individual himself.
It depends on his ability, his skills, his patience.
If he has all the traits of an entrepreneur, I would advise him to start up his own business.
As in the end, having your own business is fruitful.
But, then again based on his ability to withstand the pressure, the hardship he can be successful in what he selects.
An entrepreneur must be innovative, creative and highly passionate to run his business.
If he wants a risk free job, without having tension on the investments, then he can opt for a routine job.
where the job will be fixed, the timings are fixed and he has to balance through it.
Definitely, investor is also likely a business minded person, and selects his investments carefully.
If one has the sharp talents to foresight business, he can sit back and relax and watch his investments grow.
