In my opinion and experience ,first and the foremost quality that an entrepreneur should have is discipline. Until there is inherent discipline as one's trait you cannnot make a venture success.
Wealth is not pre-requisite to become an entrepreneur as it can be created while pursuing your venture intelligently ,skillfully and under discipline. Popularity amongst people can be very easily garnered once you sensibly show your intelligence and skills while executing the ideas and implementing business decisions.
