I would like to generate leads from Social Media Networks and from Search engines using natural traffic.

While we can also make use of PPC in order to get quick leads.

You have almost mentioned all the sources for business leads.
I would add another one which will be your existing customer base to generate repeat business.
Another one that one may add is the competitors customer data base for break thru.
Method of approach will vary depending upon the products, services, values, cost effectiveness and consumption pattern.

The most common way of generating leads are Cold calls, e-mail blast, referrals and networking, events etc. However the best way to get more leads is to get everyone in your organization working for you. Encourage everyone (Receivables collectors, service people etc) to bring a lead every time they are in the field and see a new project or new activity happening around. A simple photo of the project details or site contact will do. Then provide incentive for every successfully converted deal to the lead generator to keep them motivated. You can see a huge increase in the number of leads this way.

For new business leads/prospects, following are the points by ranking

  1. Referrals from existing customer.
  2. Relevant networking through trade events, exhibitions, dinner.
  3. Cold call and email marketing.

From what I’ve experienced with buying sales leads, if you arent the first person to call then your chances of getting the business are much lower. It took a while but I found a company called Zuumlead that I use now to basically get the lead on the phone for me right away. I dont watch for the leads coming in anymore. They send the lead directly to me, live on my phone so no one else gets to them first.
