Noise could be the reasoning behind communication becoming interrupted - this would involve people over-talking each other or not listening, as an isolated example. 

 

Distortion could be a matter of miscommunication - related to this communication error. This is were misjudgements can be made in the communication process. 

 

Overall, this is why it is so important to conduct effective communication - not just good communication. Effective communication would include; patience for listening skills, co-operative demeanour, effective language skills alongside professionalism.
