The customer is one of the stakeholders for any project whose requirements must be highly considered and fulfilled in order to ensure that the final approved deliverables are accepted by the customer which means success for the project and high competence for it's products in marketing

Customer perception on products or services

In my own opinion,it's like a parent's advise towards their children, 

regardless of the extent and level of their success. 

Most of the parent like customers are repeat customers who truly cares about our business and our brand. 

 

Customer Insight is the intersection between the interests of the consumer and features of the brand.
Its main purpose is to understand why the consumer cares for the brand as well as their underlying mindsets, moods, motivation, desires, aspirations, and motivates that trigger their attitude and actions.

Consumer insights don’t necessarily come from one focus group or customer survey. They are usually gathered through a combination of information-gathering activities and combined with an analysis that provides texture and meaning.

How the way customer is looking for the service or product from vendor. We must understand his requirement and listen completely. If customer is looking for pepsi and we do offer coke it may solve his thirsty but not his taste. Deep understanding is very much required from customer before we propose something. Product quality would be in different aspect.
