I prefer a good manager.  a specialized manager but with bad temper will teach me nothing instead he will make me hate this domain and change to another maybe. Character is the key for long term work relationships and not education or culture or expertise.

As per my opinion a gifted can be a good option because learning about any industry is easy for any one if he is a good manager but developing a Manager is difficult process.

It certainly is a two  edge soar, but i would prefer a gifted manager as he would have more potential and would learn the industry quickly .

If this gifted manager also has a positive attitude that would make him a good candidate for future leadership also.

I really think that manners are very important, even during business. For me, I think I can tolerate a person with any other flaw BUT manners. I am very sensitive with bad mannered people.

As per my opinion gifted manager is much better then specialized manager because if the managers behavior is not good with their employees its bullshit.

every employee want a respectable environment for the job rather then how the manager is?

Both are not suitable for a healthy work enviroenment.

I would prefer a specialized manager as can learn from him/her and apply this knowledge to your own job. Each and everyone of us is capable once given the responsibilities to manage our own situations.
