In your career as a project manager, what industry did you enjoy the most and was it hard to make a transition from one opposite spectrum to the other?

I most enjoyed my time in production operations in the Oil and Gas Industry

I am also enjoying the software/hardware deployment projects in IT

For me, I have seen Aviation, Oil and Gas, Mining and Governments, and I can confirm that you would enjoy a project mainly because of the people surrounding you, how supportive they are, and how well you could manage expectations and communicate with them. As for making the transition, it would depend, as some people expect the project manager to know everything (even though I believe we shouldn't).

I have enjoyed in all aspects of IT.

Networking

I am a Forensic Scheduler (previously called Delay Analyst), and like the building construction projects where I have more opportunities to apply my skills and ideas as there is often too variations change orders are seen

I enjoyed project management in the IT industry. On the other hand IT projects covers a wide range of industries and proably that is why I didn't find it hard to move from one industry to others.
