I view your question as when I can't handle the problem means my team cannot handle it, then I will consult my colleague managers because I keep good working relations with each other..

Go with a Brainstroming with Your Team, and discuss the conclusion with your superior.

It depends on the level of the trouble. If it is a technical issue, I will meet with my team, otherwise, I will meet with the sponsor to discuss it.

Sir, If I take your question techincally then your team including you, have failed to meet the creiteria of the asked task, therefore, it is essential to consult with project manager or any senior colleague manager for assistance.

You can keep working yourself, but this will take time to resolve the problem and you should not be able to deliver accordingly to the plan.

If work related i ll  always ask my colleagues and work to the solution, that is the purpose of a taem

As a manager and since day one at work i will take all necessary measures and precautions to avoid any obstacles or delay or conflict. As for problems that i cannot handle , it should be divided into different criterias and not one. In other words, sometimes there is a technical issue at work that one of the team might have the solution to it and can save the day why note. After all its team work.

While if the problem is related to the performance of one of the team members, i discuss the issue at the beginning with the team member to understand his needs and support he is lacking. In case i find that nothing changed after all the support and motivation and listening then i will be rising the issue to the higher management. The latter will decide the best solution for the problem: either having the team member attending more training sessions or classes, providing more support to him, transfering him  maybe to another department.

As for friends , i learned one main concept is seperating work issues from normal life issues. Friends do not need to hear work problems for millions of reasons related to the reputation of the company , its activity...

Since my field belongs to online work  related services,  So my first step will be to find solution online, Though in my almost all cases i figure out a solution at my own, Else I discuss it with my collegues and solve the issue.

So the nature of job and work environment may have different situations.

So if one can not figure out solution at his own, then its a good option to discuss with other team mates. Since they are also working with you and have different knowledge and experience.
