The obvious answer would be to have a combination of the two!! I feel that other than that you will find it difficult to come to any form of conclusive decision on which option would be better, simply because, as we know, human beings are all different, an approach which works for one will not work for another. If we were all as good as Denis life would be so much easier!!!!!!!!
