What is the difference between Leader or Boss and which one you prefer to be?

On a general note , the meaning is the same , the most essential difference is the impact the person makes towards the group and the way he takes the group forward .

A leader is someone who would influence / Inspire a set of people to achieve a common task and takes responsibility for shortfalls and shares achievements and moves along the team , Whereas a boss would be someone who would use the team to get the work done and takes credit for the achievements and passes down the blame.
