From what I have read about the topic, it is an artificial intelligence programs that is used to help in processing Google search queries. In other words, just like the name implies, it is the process of making search engines more advanced and similar to the way a human brain process different information according to different contexts. With the use of Rank Brain, the transformation of written materials into a mathematical algorithm which needed constant updates before through Google search engineers is capable now of constantly learning, updating and revising the search engine results, thus constantly changing and amending the way results appears on Google search and how they are ranked. I guess the SEO writers can use this to their own benefit by defining and redefining constantly in a smart way the keywords necessary for a certain website to be ranked at the top since the Google search engine is capable of constantly updating itself based on its new knowledge.

I believe the ideal answer would be that it is like the child's brain that keeps on evolving until it reaches the adult brain level. The aging time is surely different from that of human beings. Saying so, means that SEO will evolve further.

However, the question I would ask is:

Will it ultra-evolve?? Will this cause it to become an independent entity?
