Again, I agree to Joe's answer. From my point of view, problems that you face at work should be taken care of at first encounter for it to be avoided in the future.

I DO NOT AGREE ! Problems are not guidelines - they are more like hurdles - you need to go over if not then under or around or through. Or consider what the result of the problem is tell you.

If you use a problem as anything like a guideline then or even consider it that way - that would /could be bad.

• Is brake failure going through a red-light a problem or a guideline ? No. It is a problems that needs a resolution

- A known resolution - fix the brakes !  That is not a guideline... it could be fatal. Same with all work place problems...
