What is the wave guide ? and Why we use it ? and where ?

Wave guide is usually mounted on the transmission side of an antenna or between two close antennas.

It is used for the following purposes.

- To direct waves/signals to a specific direction

- To use significant power through a channel

- To avoid path loss because of external interference 

- Replacement of coax on higher frequencies
