Customer means a person who buys goods and services from the company for example Retail Banking. While the client refers to a person who looks for professional service from the business for example Investment Banking and IT companies.

A client is the one who wants professional support/service from the company. Whereas, a customer refers to a person who purchases products or services from the company

Income is the revenue generated by a non-trading institution in a financial year, while expenditure denotes outgoing expenses incurred. These are the basis of an Income & Expenditure account, and their net balance calculated after a financial year ends indicates if there is surplus or deficit.
