PMP IS A BETTER AND A LARGER CERTIFICATE TO HAVE , BECAUSE PRINCE II WILL FUNCTION UNDER THE PMP PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS AS ONE OF THE TOOLS THAT WILL BE USED .

  • PMP is based on the PMBOK, which is a Standard, NOT a methodology. It contains a truck load of processes and 'generally accepted' techniques of project management, Prince2, on the other hand, is a methodology, with a detailed process model and templates. It gives a step by step guidance on how to organize and run a project.

Of course, PMP. But if you are new to Project Management - I would recommend starting with Prince2. Understand the main concepts of the project management. It has also good tools and structure which can be used in any project in any industry. Then go for PMP.

Then after 5 years of PM(that is the requirement for getting PMP), you can go for PMP certification. This will be more deeper dive in project management.

PMP Certification and The PRINCE2 involve two different project management frameworks. Both offer a body of knowledge and a proven approach to managing projects effectively.
