What cultural norms do you find to be strange/unique in the GCC region?

I have had the pleasure of traveling to many countries and experiencing tourist focused culture. This may not always be the most appropriate method of understanding true traditions, ethos and dynamics. However, it has proved to me that no matter the country or culture, the majority share the same goals and dreams.

Strange or unique would be new, different, or strange for humans. New and different is fine. My years of experience in the region and my desire to be a World Educator and Trainer leave me desirous and patient, also understanding of any customs that may be unfamiliar.

All the human beings in this world must live the life to the fullest. But there are some restrictions for females in some part of countries in the world. Apart from restrictions, always be positive to live our own life.

Unique is Arabic culture and passion for latest technologies but Dubai is better place to enjoy life peacefully.

Separation of males and females even in public eating places (K.S.A.)

Bifurcation of gents and ladies in all social interactions 

Taste for western Language and culture. Extravagant spendings and lastly religious intolerance among sunnis and shias which could destroy the whole region if not checked.
