Which one is the best in creating reports in VB.NET, crystal report or the report view?

 Cystal report is better and report view is only tool to view reports

Crystal Report is used to create report and report viewer is used to show or link that report.

Built in RDLC reports in Visual Studio is another thing which may be used for simple reports but for

large scale of reporting mechanism Crystal Report is best choice.

CRYSTAL REPORT is the best Report Engine

ReportViewer has limited possibilities compared to Crystal Reports.

But since it is part of the Framework, distributing applications that use it is a lot easier than installing Crystal Reports, which is often a pain to install or maintain on client computers.

If our reports are simple and does not need any complex features, then ReportViewer is good. Otherwise certainly we will need Crystal Reports

Depending on your requirement for the specific project you can use either.

Crystal is good for complex calculations and advanced reporting. Also, it will be added expense to buy license except for Visual Studio 2008.

Report viewer is good for quick reports with less complexity

Crystal Report is best. You can design different type and styles or reports with crystal report. Yon can add feature of report viewer also by display crytal report in report viewer.

Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET is the standard reporting tool for Visual Studio .NET; it brings the ability to create interactive, presentation-quality content.But Portability is the issue.

Report Viewer is simple and easy and full of features too 

it really depends on your need that what your project needs think ahead and then plan both does nearly the same work

Obviouslyt it is crystal reports. It's a full fledge reporting tool with tons of features and fucntionalities with which we can customize the report to fit in all the requirements.
