What is the best e-commerce platform, in your opinion? And why?

Amazon and Alibaba are great world wide, because they have that reputation of being trusted already. But in Tanzania the recent mobile application called Kikuu, is an ecommerce application where you pay using mobile money which is the most preferred model of sending money. I think it will capture the East African market.

Despite the fact that Amazone is working hard to be on high level, Alibaba is the best basing on its plan to expand their market-size including Africa.

I like Amazon for e-commerce because it has reliable customer supports and trusted products, vast collection of products better return policy as well.

Amazon.com is the best in every respect. Amazon takes care of his customer's satisfaction. delivery in time, the product you see the product you get is the basic principle of Amazon.com. 

Depends on the country. Lazada is the best in South East Asian countries, Amazon is the best in India and Ebay in some other countries and so on depending on the popularity of these marketplaces in the respective location and target audience.

As for as the platforms capabilities and functionalities concerned,  Oracle Commerce leads the market and followed by Hybris/ Websphere Commerce. These are the things from Gartner Magic Quadrant for ecommerce platform. In terms of opensource Magento sounds good
