Why major Oil and Gas field clients are not checking educational qualification prior to project based approval for individuals?

There is a general consensus in the industry that a person with greater experience will perform better than a person with a higher education. Sometimes preference is given to persons with experience even when they don't have relevant education.

Personally, I don't agree.

Whereas it is true when the comparison is to be between a fresh engineer with a bachelor degree and an associate engineer with experience, I think an engineer with 05 years experience can perform better than an associate engineer with a lot more experience. It is the approach that matters. There's a lot more that can be written but this is the crux.
