What is the recommended years of experience for Field supervisor to have an opportunity to work as designer?

I have joined the oil/ Gas field after graduating from university,I have worked as an operator and promoted step by step and now i have reached a supervisor level. I had enough time in the field and I like to make my dream comes true, since was kid I liked to make design in different field of life.
