Using a fire damper is NOT related to the type of the duct it is related to the smoke control management inside the building and the fire zones if you make search you will find an Aluminium fire dampers for many brands.

yes we can. its doesn't matter  which kind of material we are using for duct fire damper will be installed wherever wall or slab panitrated by duct to isolate in case of fire.

FD has nothing to do with material of duct. The main purpose is to stop fire by fuseable link to close the damper in case of fire and depends on the rating. If wall is fire rated for 3 hours than FD shall also be rated for 3 hours.

Hope this will work

Off course, Fire Damper dont have any relation with the material of the duct, Fire Dampers are installed in Fire Rated Walls, as long as Fire Damper satisfy the rating of the wall we may use it no matter what is the material of duct is.

The fire damper should be secured into the firewall with metal "safeing" which is either steel or sheetmetal angle stock (sometimes the specifications require it to be sheet metal rather than steel because the steel can warp in the intense heat and prevent the fire damper to jam). That being said, it doesn't matter what material the duct is made from because it's designed to break away from the damper anyway. Then there are electrical dampers where the electrical current holds the damper open I the event of a power failure, all the dampers close and remain so until the power is restored. Those are typically used in schools and hospitals.
