What are quality circles?

I would like to explain this with an example. Since a company is made up of different hierarchies, departments. At each level and in every department hence is a specialist of that field and of the designation.

Quality circle is a way to ensure that the quality of work being performed is without any gaps or shortcoming and the coming together of these employees, each of which acts as a quality circle, onto a conference table ensure synergy between teams and an exceptional quality results.

A quality circle is a group of employees working together and do the similar work, who meet at regular interval to identify, analyze and solve work-related problems. Normally small in size, the group is usually led by a supervisor or autonomous character, presents its solutions to higher management for further review and approval; where possible, workers implement the solutions themselves in order to improve the performance of the organization and motivate employees.
