Legal Advisor is one who advises the client Inhouse, who may or may not attend the court. Advises legality of issues outside court or inhouse/office based/employee of a compay/law officer, etc. to the client or to his employer.

The lawyer always stands at the side of his client trying to attract Law to there side, but the Legal advisor always trying to attract the client to the Law side.
