Mention one way you used successfully to get your students warmed up at the beginning of your English lesson?

As for me, dishing out a reading comprehension passage with four or five multiple choice questions or a critical reading exercise sheet and giving my students a couple of minutes to work on the task has always worked miracles not only in getting their eyes wide open and the minds sharply focused but also in getting them quickly on their seats and totally engrossed in something different from the bustle they usually make when they first come from outside. It's really an effective warm-up technique and worth sacrificing the initial five to seven minutes of the class.
