It depends. All forms of Government Systems have their pluses and minuses.People who are governed can also have their own situations. However, absolute authority and unpatriotic people -- both generate corruption and inefficiency in any system of governance. So, be it Monarchy, democracy or dictatorship or one party rule, it is better to have evolution of laws as per requirements of public and get guided and governed by rule of law. Change the system of governance if any system fails to deliver minimum results of growth, development and happiness. Bhutan, China, KSA, UAE, U.K., GERMANY, France,  are good examples.

I agree with the latter. A government should be formed by the people and should comprise of multiple systems depending on the needs of the industry set in that state/province. This can allow fair pricing of natural resources (from your basket of goods) and control flow of wealth across the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors). Personally,

Personally, and this is my opinion alone, I think democracy is a theoretical concept. I can't think of any government today that is democratic. Only one comes to mind, the rule of law when the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was preaching Islam before the Abasid and Ummayyed period. I will not disagree if you say it existed till the end of the4th Caliphate (RA).

Personally, I like to believe I am a technocrat.
