Employees satisfaction survey is an indicator for satisfaction and not for variable reasons for the same.

I love this method but honestly I do not appreciate...

If u really want to solve an issue and wants to know employees views.

I prefer to talk and discuss issue with them directly...

Instead,, set a some get together party.. cool place... friendly environment, discuss in depth all you want to ask in survey, you will get negative positive responses, deal with it.

Then in light of their views and issues, set your plan and implement, that nobody get hurt and everybody get a perfect result according to their need.

A survey, provides them a chance to display their thoughts, and views with some limitations, where an open discussion, provides an opportunity to understand them in depth.

Employee satisfaction survey is good for both employee and employer because through survey, HR aware of the employees demand of employee and hence, maintain the healthy environment in an organisation 

Employee satisfaction survey indicates the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction and many other components of expectations, it helps in creating happiers workplace n boosting productivity.

OR IT IS JUST A PAPER TO BE A PROOF FOR AN ENVISIONED CERTIFICATION MODEL !

Good question, we are also trying to implement this Survey in our company. I believe it can give an overview about the status of motivation (and not only) inside the company. We must of course make the survey and answers anonymous in order the employees can be as honest as possible. Based on the results HR can analysize and try to apply changes in order to meet the employees needs (as long as it is possible).
