Employee retention policy are guidelines to ensure that  idael employees stays in the organisation for a longer period and this normally is a guide against frquent exit  of staff from the organisation. Interestingly, by the fact that you have a well prepared policy does not guarantee that staff will stay in the company for ever.Circumstances change so companies must review these policies from time to time to reflect the current trend in the industries. It can therefore be said that the aim of any good policy is to be able to achive  its mandate for which it was created. You can not retain any staff if your policy is not implemented in the interst of the staff. A good policy ,ideally, must be able to curb resignations but these may always not be the case. A mere acquisiion of employees retention policy can not guarantee  or end staff turn over .Rather managers must ensure that prgmatic implementation of all policies are aim at ensuing that staff are well caterd for, rules and regulatoin are implementaed without fear or favour. This is the best way to motivate staff to remain in the compaany and also exhibit loyalty towards the copany at all times. In conclusion it can be said that it is one thing having an employees retention policy and anothr being able to stop turnover.
