What is the difference between CEO, Managing Director and General Manager?

CEO (Chief Executive Officer) is the highest position in an organization. Both General Manager and Managing Director have to answer to CEO. General Manager is the manager of all departments within the organization while Managing Director is the director of all managers. Its sort of like a management ladder where CEO is the top and goes down to Managing Director and finally General Manager.

A principal diferença é o CEO está no comando, no mais alto escalão, ele responde ao conselho administrativo, o diretor administrativo é o segundo no comando só que no operacional, o gerente geral ele reporta-se ao diretor administrativo. Cada membro da diretoria foca nas estratégias de negócio. O Diretor executivo trabalha olhando para fora, no mercado, criando estratégias para o futuro da empresa, cada diretor da alta cupola inplementará no seu departamento. O diretor administrativo trabalha supervisionando todos os departamentos Marketing, operações, finanças etc. O gerente geral trabalha supervisionando o departamento administrativo do nível tático e supervisando outros gerentes,, é responsável por traduzir a estratégia só q no nível mais departamental.
